It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and I decided to head to the grocery store buy some groceries I was running short on. I brushed out my hair and through on a light gray tank top and a pair of blue jean cut offs and headed to the local grocery store. Quickly, I realized that I had taken the wrong route and ended up at the local Wal-Mart instead of my desired grocery store. Since I was already there I decided to go ahead and just run in. I went about my business and then headed to the check out. While the lady rang up my items and placed them in the bags I looked up and noticed, Michael.
Michael was the first boy I ever kissed. We use to spend hours playing in the field behind his house, climbing trees and riding bikes. We were boyfriend and girlfriend up till Jr High and then we both went our separate ways for one reason or another. Even after growing up and moving on and moving away I often thought back to Michael and wondered how he was, how his life had turned out and if he ever thought of me.
When I had moved back to my home town 4 months previously, I had told myself that I was going to try and look him up and see how he was doing, but no one I had asked seemed know where he was or how to get in touch with him. Here 4 months later he was standing in front of me at the check out with two little boys. Now, I had to decide was I going to walk over to him and give him my number or ask for his? Was he happy to see me too, or just being polite?
