Momma said there’d be days like this......................

Some days are better than others and you feel like rainbows and unicorns and some days you just want to bash in someone's face and call it a day.....

I don't understand why some people have such a sense of entitlement like the world owes them something........do they honestly believe that they are the only person in life that was dealt a shitty hand?

Instead of realizing that most of us are all in the same boat

they would rather act like a complete ass and take everything out on other people and then they don't understand when someone finally calls them on their bull shit and says hey asshole........i don't want to hear your whining any more.........

I read some people's posts and it's always whining about oh poor me I am not in a relationship, I don't have enough money, there's too much work to be done....blah blah blah.........sometimes these posts become so overwhelming that I just want to scream,

"hey idiot, if you don't like how your life is; change it and quit whining!"

I know that would not be the right thing to do but honestly sometimes people need to hear the brutal honesty. Every day could be a horrible day that we just roll around in our own misery or we can make the decision to focus on something positive and work to change other things.

It's all in how we CHOOSE to see things.

Are you a flower or a gardener?

I heard tonight that in all relationships (whether they be siblings, parent/child, friends, or romantic)  there is always a gardener and a flower.  It made me stop and think which am I?

I think in most relationships I am the gardener. I am always tending to someone else's needs, their feelings...etc.   I often let the people in my life talk and talk about themselves, I have allowed my family to sit back and come to them and in romantic relationships I am always there, plugged in doing all I can do to make sure the other person is happy. Even in most of my "friendships" I am always listening and helping to others problems and rarely sharing my own.

In the past year I have reconnected with an old friend who recently told me that when she knew me as a teenager she had no idea of all I had gone through in life or what I was even going through during the years she knew me. She's right too. As I have grown older I realized that I only let people know what I wanted them to know about me. Mostly, it was because I never truly trusted anyone and partly because I knew most people really didn't care because they were so wrapped up in their own lives.

However, I have noticed that over the past few years I have stopped doing that so much. I tend to not engage with people who are completely wrapped up in themselves and the ones I do still allow a place in my life with; I limit my interaction with them to times I do not feel like I will be "sucked dry" so to speak.   I have written alot of family members off because they don't pick up a phone and call me or because they have never made the effort to journey to see me, I have written friends off because they never stop and ask me......"how was your day"

Sometimes we need to be our own gardener and take care of ourselves because if we do not, then we can not take care of those we love. I think many people fail to remember this and continuously allow others to drain them until they have nothing left to give. As we go through life we have to remember to tend to those we love as well because without give and take our relationships will tend to die.

Which way do i go; which way do I go

The other night a friend and I were talking and she told me sometimes she sees other people's facebook posts, tweets, blogs, etc. and wonders about her own life path, her own success and accomplishments in comparison to theirs.

As we talked we discussed how she cannot compare herself to others because what is success for others may not be success for herself. I used myself as an example. Many people start a business with the goal in mind of having others work for them and not having to work any longer but I myself could never own a business and not work. For me it's important to continue to work and be productive and it never crosses my mind to set a goal to be rich, I just want to make enough money to get by. For me success is having good friends, family, enough money to pay my bills, save, and do the things I enjoy in life. Carving out a little piece of God's world for myself and turning it into my own sanctuary and enjoying my life for what I want it to be and not what others think it should be.

Success can be many things to many people but if your definition of success is something you can never achieve nor truly want to achieve then is that really success? Should your success be determined by others? Why do we feel the need to conform to societies definitions of success?

How to Maintain a Healthy Level of Insanity

Monday's are the worst.............just a little funny to make you smile!

1) Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.

2) Find out where your boss shops and buy exactly the same outfits. Wear them one day after you boss does. This is especially effective if your boss is a different gender.

3) Make up nicknames for all your coworkers and refer to them only by these names. "That's a good point, Sparky." "No, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with you there, Cha-cha."

4) Send e-mail to the rest of the company telling them exactly what you're doing. For example: "If anyone needs me, I'll be in the bathroom."

5) Hi-Lite your shoes. Tell people you haven't lost them as much since you did this.

6) While sitting at your desk, soak your fingers in Palmolive liquid. Call everyone Madge.

7) Hang mosquito netting around your cubicle. When you emerge to get coffee or a printout or whatever, slap yourself randomly the whole way.

8) Put a chair facing a printer. Sit there all day and tell people you're waiting for your document_

9) Every time someone asks you to do something, anything, ask them if they want fries with that.

10) Send e-mail back and forth to yourself engaging yourself in an intellectual debate. Forward the mail to a co-worker and ask her to settle the disagreement.

11) Encourage your colleagues to join you in a little synchronized chair-dancing.

12) Put your trash can on your desk. Label it "IN."

13) Feign an unnatural and hysterical fear of staplers.

14) Send e-mail messages saying there's free pizza or donuts or cake in the lunch room. When people drift back to work complaining that they found none, lean back, pat your stomach and say, "Oh you've got to be faster than that."

15) Put decaf in the coffee maker for three weeks. Once everyone has withdrawn from caffeine addiction, switch to espresso.

16.  At Lunch Time, Sit In Your Parked Car With Sunglasses on and point a Hair Dryer at Passing Cars. See If They Slow Down.

17. Five Days In Advance, Tell Your Friends You Can't Attend Their Party Because You're Not In The Mood.

18. Tell Your Children Over Dinner. "Due To The Economy, We Are Going To Have To Let One Of You Go."

and the REAL questions are:

1) How many of these have you done?

2) How many of them do you INTEND to do?

3) How long will you be employed if you exercised option 2) ?

Well, it's another day and there have been several events that have allowed me to observe some pretty interesting human behavior........................

In one situation a husband and wife have elected to invite a third party into their relationship.  May not be so bad if that's what works for them, but the wife - in my opinion is very insecure and is only going along with the offer to appease and keep her husband.......what happens when she can't deal with the "third party"?  The husband says he loves her but if he truely loved her wouldn't he recognize her insecurities and not suggest this "third party" join their relationship?

A second behavior I had the opporutnity to observe recently was infidelity.  My friend has been married for 6 years to his wife.  They have had their problems but they have also had their good times.  Over the past couple of years he has expressed to me over and over that he's not happy, his needs aren't being met and that he feels his wife is very selfish and doesn't really care about how he feels or what he needs.  I have tried to remain neutral because I don't think anyone should tell someone else how to handle their lives...........hell it took me an entire year to decide to leave my marriage and that there was just no hope for it........

My friend told me that last weekend his wife went on a trip with her girlfriends and he went to the local bars.  He said he ran into an old girlfriend and decided to go home with her.
I just wonder what makes people do the things they decide to do to one another.  Do we have a need to create chaos and keep things constantly stirred up .........are our lives so unhappy that we create these situations in order to entertain ourselves? Do we think about how we are treating other people?  Do we care?????

Guess I am just a bit down on human kind right now, because I long for a peacefulness and a calmness that doesn't seem to come around very often unless I stay to myself - which I must admit can get pretty lonely sometimes- but hell what can a girl do?

I get tired of all the lies I hear people tell themselves and eachother. I get tired of seeing people be disrespectful and hurtful to one another and then say....."I didn't think it was a big deal" or " I think you are making something out of nothing"

...sometimes I wonder if we stopped and thought about how our actions would effect someone else would we still participate in behaviors? If we thought about how we would feel if someone treated us this way would we still do the things we do?

Virtual Assistant vs. Employee

Rather than being an employee, a Virtual Assistant is an independent contractor and business owner in their own right.

The best way to describe the Virtual Assistant role is to briefly explain what I did last week.
Working from my home office with several different clients, I:

􀂾 typed some reports for a consultant and emailed them back

􀂾 designed a Powerpoint presentation for a speaker. He was presenting at a conference overseas the following day. I emailed it back to him

􀂾 designed and organized the printing of a flyer for a singer who has a performance coming up

􀂾 set up and sent out a newsletter for a client

I did all this without seeing or meeting any of the clients: we spoke on the phone and/or emailed each other.

Think of the Virtual Assistant as a freelance administrator, designer, organizer, researcher, editor, typist, secretary, coordinator, all rolled into one!

Clients enjoy the flexibility of using a Virtual Assistant as and when they require, without having to pay a regular wage or employee benefits. This means huge cost savings for clients, as they are only paying by the hour for actual work done. There is an increasing demand for Virtual Assistants, as more and more people realize their true benefits. The future of Virtual Assistance is certainly looking bright.

Quick summary of the benefits of using a virtual assistant. The benefits are enormous for smart business owners as follows:

Flexibility, work can be done outside of normal business hours.

No need to provide office space, hardware and supplies as a virtual assistant uses own resources and stationery.

A virtual assistant cares about her business and offers superior service.

A virtual assistant is only paid for the time spent working.

Virtual assistants are independent contractors thereby eliminating administration on client's behalf with payroll, leave payments, sick leave, employer taxes, etc.

A virtual assistant is not paid for spending time on personal phone calls, coffee breaks, surfing the net, texting at her desk, etc.

A virtual assistant performs the tasks that you previously may have been wasting your time doing instead of focusing on growing your buisness. As a business owner you should be outsourcing and delegating the myriad of administrative tasks to an appropriate virtual assistant.
