The first night at my house she stayed in the guest room by herself.
The 1st morning we discovered she had NO desire to go outside. I'd pick her up and carry her out the back door only for her to do her business....
and want to go right back inside.
However, in attempts to socialize her and get her use to being around humans we kept her with us during the day in my office
in the living areas of the house (we discovered she wasn't moving around the house much because she was unsure of walking on the floors)
Bello even tried to share his stuffed bunny with Marishka
After a few days she began moving around the yard more
and making use of the items in the yard
and exploring with Bello
moving to the different sections of the yard
and soon she was feeling more comfortable moving about on her own
making use of the doggie door to go in and out
and feeling more confident in her explorations
Soon she even began to try and peak at us on the bed
and even has enjoyed her first ever frozen yogurt!
As you can see she is getting more confident and laying in the middle of the yard instead of trying to hide
She has gotten more comfortable walking on the hardwood floors
and is comfortable enough to finally sleep in a relaxed position in the living room
and for all her hard work over the last 2 weeks she received her first raw bone yesterday!
Follow Marishka's journey as she becomes for comfortable around humans before leaving for her furever home!
