Arrested: Elizabeth Escalona, 22, is accused of horrific child abuse
A relative told local station News 8 that the girl has broken bones, bruises and head injuries.
The girl was rushed to hospital after Escalona called her mother and said there was something wrong with her daughter.
When the child's grandmother got the house, the girl was unresponsive.
According to police reports, Escalona dragged her daughter by her feet before gluing her hands to the wall until they bled
.

The latest reports that I've read say that Joselyn came out of the coma and had no lasting injuries. I can only hope that she won't remember what she had to go through. I seem to remember that I started asking "why" around the age of two, so did my children. I can't imagine any possible answer to "Why did Mummy do this to me?"
ReplyDeleteIt's an awful way to escape but at least she and her siblings have escaped. Any children's charity could tell you about those who never do escape, that no-one hears about, those who have no childhood memory that makes them smile. Joselyn and her siblings may now have a chance at a happy childhood.
