2 Saturdays ago we went and picked up 10 dogs from Broken Arrow Rescue Ranch in Christoval. Their adoption operations have moved in with us! Boarding for veterans who are being deployed or who are in need to board their dogs for some reason will remain in the Christoval location.
All the dogs have adjusted and are settling in to our routine. Daily exercise, providing better quality food, basic obedience training are all in progress since the have arrived with us. 2 of the puppies had to be treated immediately for coccidia and hook worms infestation but are doing great now and have gone to the vet today to be spayed.
The dogs are really enjoying the cage free environment but since we haven't raised the remaining funds to purchase our building they are still being housed outdoors in pens. With last nights cold front moving in to our area we had to squeeze the Broken Arrow Dogs into our homes so we now are unable to pull any more dogs for either rescue. It's a tough situation but we have faith that it will work out!!
